A Plan to be Future Networks Ready

Source: Power and Water Corporation

With electricity consumers significantly changing the way energy is used and the industry evolving rapidly in response, networks will need to adapt and transform to meet the changing expectations and needs of consumers.

CutlerMerz is currently engaged by Power and Water to develop a Future Networks Readiness Plan to prepare the network for better integration of modern technologies, and to empower electricity consumers to take greater control of their energy use and generation. The Plan would enable Power and Water to have a better understanding of the infrastructure, systems and strategies required to efficiently and effectively meet evolving customer needs.

Power and Water facilitated the Future Electricity Networks Forum this afternoon to engage with customers and the industry on this process. CutlerMerz’ Managing Director Tim Edwards was part of the panel, where Tim shared his expertise on the key areas that the network will need to consider to unlock the opportunities available within the future energy system.

More information on the Future Networks Readiness Plan, and how to be involved in the process can be found here.
