The expansion of technologies now interacting with electricity networks, such as Consumer Energy Resources and Electric Vehicles, bring a need for a more controllable and visible network. This requires an abundance of real time data feeds and the analysis/models equipped to deal with them. These capabilities will require support from artificial intelligence and automation in the future.
