Grid Connections

We support clients navigate the complex and challenging issues associated with the connection of large scale renewable energy generators to transmission or distribution networks.

Achieving a connection agreement in an efficient and timely manner requires a breadth of capability across all aspects of the connections process. Our teams can support from conceptual design of the connection arrangement through to detailed negotiations with the Network Service Provider’s engineering and commercial teams.

Our in depth understanding of the connections process is founded in the several gigawatts of renewable energy connection projects our people have been involved with, and on the support we have provided to network service providers themselves to improve their connections processes.

We have a proven track record in expediting an Offer to Connect, thereby saving our clients significant resources compared to an otherwise lengthy and expensive connections process.

Power System Studies

We provide Proponents with power systems studies services that leverage our involvement in various projects connecting to distribution and transmission networks across Australia and internationally.

Our electrical engineers have extensive experience undertaking steady state and dynamic power systems studies to support Proponents in their Connection Application submissions. This includes the preparation of connection studies reports, model acceptance testing reports and benchmarking reports that detail simulation performance and compliance against relevant AEMO and NER technical requirements.
